The Wilkes Central Eagles football team (Wilkesboro, NC), was beaten 8-0 in Thursday's non-league challenge with the host West Wilkes Blackhawks (Millers Creek, NC)

The Blackhawks (4-4) will now prepare for their challenge against North Surry (Mount Airy, NC). The Greyhounds come into the non-league challenge with a 5-2 record. In their last challenge, North Surry achieved victory over Surry Central (Dobson, NC), 44-20, in a league challenge.

The Eagles now sport a 2-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Forbush for a non-league challenge on Thursday, October 19.
