In Thursday's non-league battle, the visiting Unioto Shermans soccer squad scored a close 3-2 win over the Alexander Spartans.
The Shermans (10-4) will now prepare for their battle against Westfall (Williamsport, OH). The Mustangs go into the Scioto Valley battle with a 4-9 record. In their last battle, Westfall was nudged by Waverly (Waverly, OH), 3-0, in a non-league battle.
The Spartans (4-8) will now prepare for their battle against Wellston (Wellston, OH). The Golden Rockets go into the Tri-Valley - Ohio battle with a 2-9 record. In their last battle, Wellston Piketon (Piketon, OH), 3-3, in a non-league battle.
