In Thursday's non-league contest, the Pocola Indians (Pocola, OK) softball team held off the visiting Preston Pirates (Preston, OK), by a margin of 2-1.

With the triumph, Pocola moves its record to 34-7 on the year. The Indians travel to Oktaha (Oktaha, OK) to play the Tigers in a non-league contest on Friday, October 6.
