The Athens Golden Eagles volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the visiting West Limestone Wildcats to 0 in the Golden Eagles non-league victory on Thursday.
The Golden Eagles now have a 18-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Florence for a non-league game on Saturday, October 7. Athens will meet a Falcons team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Deshler (Tuscumbia, AL). The Falcons record now stands at 10-20.
The Wildcats (14-15) will now prepare for their game against Lawrence County (Moulton, AL). The Red Devils enter the non-league game with a 32-13 record. In their last game, Lawrence County gained a win over West Morgan (Trinity, AL), 3-0, in a non-league game.
