In Thursday's league contest, the Avon Pirates (Avon, SD) volleyball squad were winner over the host Bridgewater/Emery Huskies (Emery, SD), by a margin of 3-1.

Next up, the Pirates face the Centerville Tornadoes (Centerville, SD) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, October 12. Avon will attempt to better on its 14-8 season record.

With the loss, Bridgewater/Emery moves to 11-4 on the year. The Huskies host Colman-Egan (Colman, SD) to face the C-E Hawks in a non-league contest on Tuesday, October 10. The C-E Hawks go into the battle with a record of 18-4. Colman-Egan lost 3-0 in their recent league battle against Chester (Chester, SD)
