The Newell-Fonda Mustangs topped the host Bishop Garrigan Golden Bears volleyball team by a score of 3-0 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Mustangs now have a 15-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sioux Central for a Twin Lakes test on Thursday, October 12. Newell-Fonda will confront a Rebels team coming off a 3-0 league win over Storm Lake St. Mary (Storm Lake, IA). The Rebels record now stands at 3-11.
The Golden Bears (7-20) will now prepare for their test against Algona (Algona, IA). The Bulldogs enter the non-league test with a 11-9 record. In their last test, Algona gained a win over Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS (Clarion, IA), 3-1, in a non-league test.
