The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the Marshall Hilltoppers (Duluth, MN) and the host Denfeld Hunters (Duluth, MN), saw Marshall's volleyball squad nip Denfeld by a tally of 1-0.

With the win, Marshall upgrades its record to 5-8 on the year. The Hilltoppers host Hibbing (Hibbing, MN) to play the Bluejackets in a non-league bout on Tuesday, October 10. The Bluejackets go into the bout with a record of 3-17.

The Hunters now own a 3-15 record. They play next when they travel to Princeton for a non-league bout on Monday, October 9. Denfeld will play a Tigers squad coming off a 3-1 league loss to North Branch (North Branch, MN). The Tigers record now stands at 5-12.
