West Virginia High School Volleyball - Huntington tips George Washington

October 5, 2023: Huntington, WV 25701

Huntington Highlanders (Huntington, WV) supporters left the game in high spirits Thursday as they observed their volleyball squad hold off the visiting George Washington Patriots (Charleston, WV), 2-1 in a league match.

Next up, the Highlanders battle the Russell Red Devils (Russell, KY) in a non-league match, on Monday, October 9. Huntington will attempt to advance on its 10-9 season record. The Red Devils come into the match with a 10-12 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Whitley County (Williamsburg, KY).

With the loss, George Washington drops to 21-7 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to St. Albans (St. Albans, WV) to battle the Red Dragons in a Mountain State match on Thursday, October 5. The Red Dragons come into the match with a record of 5-11.
