The Mavericks now possess a 5-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Silver for a non-league game on Tuesday, October 10. Lordsburg will meet a Fighting Colts team coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Cobre (Bayard, NM). The Fighting Colts record now stands at 4-6.

The Mountaineers (4-6) will now prepare for their game against Animas (Animas, NM). The Panthers enter the 1A District 2 game with a 6-5 record. In their last game, Animas defeated Lordsburg (Lordsburg, NM), 3-2, in a non-league game.
