New Mexico High School Volleyball - Sandia tips Mayfield

In Thursday's non-league contest, the Sandia Matadors (Albuquerque, NM) volleyball squad nudged the host Mayfield Trojans (Las Cruces, NM), by a margin of 3-2.

Next up, the Matadors battle the Farmington Scorpions (Farmington, NM) in a 5A District 2 contest, on Tuesday, October 10. Sandia will attempt to better on its 6-6 season record. The Scorpions go into the contest with a 8-5 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Bayfield (Bayfield, CO).

With the loss, Mayfield moves to 7-5 on the year. The Trojans host Cleveland (Rio Rancho, NM) to battle the Storm in a non-league contest on Friday, October 6. The Storm go into the contest with a record of 6-6. Cleveland won 3-2 in their recent non-league contest against Rio Rancho (Rio Rancho, NM)
