The crowd at Saturday's league contest between the Archbishop Curley Friars (Baltimore, MD) and the visiting St. John's Catholic Prep Vikings (Buckeystown, MD), witnessed Archbishop Curley's football squad knock off St. John's Catholic Prep by a tally of 44-20.

The Friars (3-3) will now prepare for their contest against Severn School (Severna Park, MD). The Admirals enter the MIAA B contest with a 5-1 record. In their last contest, Severn School gained a win over Boys Latin (Baltimore, MD), 31-17, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Vikings battle the St. Paul's Crusaders (Brooklandville, MD) in a MIAA B contest, on Friday, October 11. St. John's Catholic Prep will attempt to better on its 0-6 season record. The Crusaders enter the contest with a 2-3 record after their 27-0 league loss to Pallotti (Laurel, MD).
