The Roosevelt Roughriders walloped the visiting Jericho Jayhawks football team by a score of 40-0 in Saturday's league challenge.
In their next game, the Roughriders face the Baldwin Bruins (Baldwin, NY) in a Section 8 Conference II challenge, on Thursday, October 10. Roosevelt will attempt to improve on its 2-3 season record. The Bruins go into the challenge with a 2-2 record after their 34-7 league loss to New Hyde Park Memorial (New Hyde Park, NY).
The Jayhawks (1-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Mepham (North Bellmore, NY). The Pirates go into the Section 8 Conference II challenge with a 3-1 record. In their last challenge, Mepham was ripped by Carey (Franklin Square, NY), 27-14, in a league challenge.
