Florida High School Football - Mitchell defeats River Ridge

October 4, 2024: New Port Richey, FL 34654

In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Mitchell Mustangs football squad scored a good 38-21 victory over the River Ridge Royal Knights.

The Mustangs (7-0) will now prepare for their match against Wiregrass Ranch (Wesley Chapel, FL). The Bulls enter the 6A District 9 match with a 6-0 record. In their last match, Wiregrass Ranch thwarted Sunlake (Land O' Lakes, FL), 42-0, in a league match.

Coming up next, the Royal Knights confront the Clearwater Tornadoes (Clearwater, FL) in a 4A District 10 match, on Friday, October 11. River Ridge will attempt to upgrade on its 6-1 season record. The Tornadoes enter the match with a 4-3 record after their 48-14 non-league win over Tampa Catholic (Tampa, FL).
