In Saturday's non-league match, the host Piedra Vista Panthers football squad scored a good 22-6 triumph over the Grants Pirates.
The Panthers (3-2) will now prepare for their match against Los Lunas (Los Lunas, NM). The Tigers come into the non-league match with a 3-3 record. In their last match, Los Lunas was beaten by Rio Rancho (Rio Rancho, NM), 32-31, in a non-league match.
Coming up next, the Pirates confront the Belen Eagles (Belen, NM) in a non-league match, on Monday, October 21. Grants will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Eagles come into the match with a 1-1 record after their 13-7 non-league loss to Capital (Santa Fe, NM).
