The Fairmont Firebirds edged the visiting Carroll Patriots soccer team by a tally of 3-2 in Saturday's non-league game.
Next, the Firebirds face the Miamisburg Vikings (Miamisburg, OH) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, October 8. Fairmont will attempt to advance on its 9-0 season record.
The Patriots (13-3) will now prepare for their game against Archbishop Alter (Kettering, OH). The Knights enter the non-league game with a 8-5 record. In their last game, Archbishop Alter held off Yellow Springs (Yellow Springs, OH), 1-0, in a non-league game.
