Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Bear River Bruins (Grass Valley, CA) and the visiting Foresthill Wildfires (Foresthill, CA), observed Bear River's volleyball team top Foresthill by a tally of 2-0.

The Bruins (4-5) will now prepare for their contest against Oakmont (Roseville, CA). The Vikings enter the contest with a 9-6 record. In their last contest, Oakmont was beaten by Center (Antelope, CA), 2-1, in a league contest.

Next, the Wildfires meet the Westlake Charter Explorers (Sacramento, CA) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, October 5. Foresthill will attempt to upgrade on its 10-7 season record. The Explorers enter the contest with a 5-3 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to John Adams Academy Rsvl/Lin (Roseville, CA).
