Cherokee Chiefs (Marlton, NJ) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they witnessed their soccer team get by the visiting Steinert Spartans (Hamilton, NJ), 1-0 in a non-league test.

With the triumph, Cherokee moves its record to 6-4 on the campaign. The Chiefs host Rancocas Valley (Mt. Holly, NJ) to meet the Red Devils in a non-league test on Wednesday, October 9. The Red Devils come into the test with a record of 7-4.

The Spartans now sport a 6-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Princeton for a non-league test on Tuesday, October 8. Steinert will meet a Tigers team coming off a 1-1 non-league Gill St. Bernard's (Gladstone, NJ). The Tigers record now stands at 6-1.
