In Saturday's non-league outing, the host Highland Bulldogs soccer squad scored a nice 10-1 win over the Mt. Vernon Rams.
The Bulldogs (9-7) will now prepare for their outing against Civic Memorial (Bethalto, IL). The Eagles enter the Mississippi Valley outing with a 7-12 record. In their last outing, Civic Memorial ran past Breese Central (Breese, IL), 9-0, in a non-league outing.
Next up, the Rams confront the Carterville Lions (Carterville, IL) in a non-league outing, on Wednesday, October 9. Mt. Vernon will attempt to improve on its 5-8 season record.
