Mercyhurst Prep Lakers (Erie, PA) backers exited the stadium pleased Saturday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the host North East Grape Pickers (North East, PA), 3-1 in a non-league test.

With the triumph, Mercyhurst Prep advances its record to 8-4 on the campaign. The Lakers host Saegertown (Saegertown, PA) to clash with the Panthers in a District 10 Region 4 test on Monday, October 7. The Panthers come into the test with a record of 1-5. Saegertown lost 3-0 in their recent league test against Seneca (Erie, PA)

The Grape Pickers now have a 11-2 record. They take the field next when they host Cathedral Prep for a District 10 Region 3 test on Tuesday, October 8. North East will clash with a Ramblers team coming off a 3-0 league win over Harbor Creek (Harborcreek, PA). The Ramblers record now stands at 9-4.
