The Shamokin Area Indians held off the host Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Red Raiders soccer team by a tally of 3-2 in Saturday's non-league game.
Next, the Indians face the Central Columbia Bluejays (Bloomsburg, PA) in a PIAA District IV-AA game, on Monday, October 7. Shamokin Area will attempt to advance on its 4-10 season record. The Bluejays come into the game with a 13-2 record after their 4-2 league win over Southern Columbia Area (Catawissa, PA).
The Red Raiders (8-6) will now prepare for their game against Pine Grove (Pine Grove, PA). The Cardinals come into the non-league game with a 13-4 record. In their last game, Pine Grove was nipped by Wyomissing (Wyomissing, PA), 2-1, in a non-league game.
