The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Eugene Eagles (Eugene, MO) and the visiting Northeast Bearcats (Cairo, MO), observed Eugene's softball team get by Northeast by a tally of 8-2.

The Eagles (13-13) will now prepare for their outing against Belle (Belle, MO). The Tigers come into the non-league outing with a 15-4 record. In their last outing, Belle got by South Callaway (Mokane, MO), 4-3, in a league outing.

With the loss, Northeast moves to 21-4 on the season. The Bearcats travel to La Plata (La Plata, MO) to encounter the Bulldogs in a non-league outing on Monday, October 7.
