The Gladiator (17-11) will now prepare for their contest against Independent (Wichita, KS). The Panthers enter the Central Plains contest with a 9-14 record. In their last contest, Independent was tipped by Trinity Academy (Wichita, KS), 2-0, in a league contest.

Next, the Wildcats meet the Fairfield Falcons (Langdon, KS) in a Heart of the Plains contest, on Tuesday, October 8. Cunningham will attempt to upgrade on its 9-12 season record. The Falcons enter the contest with a 8-14 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Elyria Christian (McPherson, KS).
