In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Alameda Hornets volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Livermore Cowboys.

The Hornets (7-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Granada (Livermore, CA). The Matadors come into the non-league challenge with a 5-12 record. In their last challenge, Granada was beaten by Foothill (Pleasanton, CA), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Cowboys meet the Dougherty Valley Wildcats (San Ramon, CA) in a East Bay challenge, on Tuesday, October 8. Livermore will attempt to upgrade on its 3-15 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 8-11 record after their 2-0 non-league win over West Campus (Sacramento, CA).
