Oelwein Huskies (Oelwein, IA) followers left the game satisfied Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad edge the visiting Alburnett Pirates (Alburnett, IA), 2-1 in a non-league test.
With the win, Oelwein advances its record to 12-13 on the season. The Huskies travel to Postville (Postville, IA) to face the Pirates in a non-league test on Monday, October 7. The Pirates go into the test with a record of 2-15. Postville won 3-1 in their recent league test against Kee (Lansing, IA)
The Pirates now sport a 3-15 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Maquoketa Valley for a test on Tuesday, October 8. Alburnett will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 3-1 league win over East Buchanan (Winthrop, IA). The Wildcats record now stands at 10-11.
