In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Kittson Central Bearcats volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Barnesville Trojans.
The Bearcats (22-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Melrose (Melrose, MN). The Dutchmen come into the non-league challenge with a 10-10 record. In their last challenge, Melrose was beaten by Minnewaska Area (Glenwood, MN), 3-0, in a league challenge.
Next, the Trojans meet the Henning Hornets (Henning, MN) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, October 5. Barnesville will attempt to upgrade on its 15-11 season record. The Hornets come into the challenge with a 8-9 record after their 3-0 league loss to Wadena-Deer Creek (Wadena, MN).
