In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Bethlehem Academy Cardinals volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Pine River-Backus Tigers.

The Cardinals (12-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Chippewa Falls (Chippewa Falls, WI). The Cardinals come into the non-league challenge with a 14-12 record. In their last challenge, Chippewa Falls was nudged by Eau Claire North (Eau Claire, WI), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Tigers meet the Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton Rebels (Glyndon, MN) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, October 5. Pine River-Backus will attempt to upgrade on its 14-10 season record. The Rebels come into the challenge with a 12-7 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Belle Plaine (Belle Plaine, MN).
