Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Covenant Christian Chargers (Grand Rapids, MI) and the visiting Zeeland West Dux (Zeeland, MI), observed Covenant Christian's volleyball team hold off Zeeland West by a tally of 2-1.

The Chargers (10-23) will now prepare for their contest against Unity Christian (Hudsonville, MI). The Crusaders enter the non-league contest with a 14-7 record. In their last contest, Unity Christian got by Spring Lake (Spring Lake, MI), 3-0, in a league contest.

Next, the Dux meet the Sparta Spartans (Sparta, MI) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, October 5. Zeeland West will attempt to upgrade on its 2-17 season record. The Spartans enter the contest with a 9-7 record after their 3-0 league loss to Cedar Springs (Cedar Springs, MI).
