In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Dougherty Valley Wildcats volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Turlock Bulldogs.

The Wildcats (10-13) will now prepare for their challenge against College Park (Pleasant Hill, CA). The Falcons come into the non-league challenge with a 10-14 record. In their last challenge, College Park edged Acalanes (Lafayette, CA), 3-2, in a league challenge.

Next, the Bulldogs play the Nevada Union Miners (Grass Valley, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, October 5. Turlock will attempt to upgrade on its 9-6 season record. The Miners come into the challenge with a 7-17 record after their 3-1 league loss to River Valley (Yuba City, CA).
