In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Eureka Hornets volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Pekin Dragons.
The Hornets (19-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Illinois Valley Central (Chillicothe, IL). The Grey Ghosts come into the non-league challenge with a 12-7 record. In their last challenge, Illinois Valley Central beat St. Joseph-Ogden (St. Joseph, IL), 2-0, in a league challenge.
Next, the Dragons meet the Lena-Winslow Panthers (Lena, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, October 5. Pekin will attempt to upgrade on its 8-11 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 14-5 record after their 2-0 league win over Dakota (Dakota, IL).
