The Independent Panthers volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the host Oxford Wildcats to 1 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Panthers now possess a 8-12 record. They play next when they travel to Trinity Academy for a Central Plains outing on Tuesday, October 8. Independent will play a Knights team coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Kapaun Mt. Carmel (Wichita, KS). The Knights record now stands at 20-4.

With the loss, Oxford drops to 4-22 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to South Haven (South Haven, KS) to play the Cardinals in a South Central Border outing on Tuesday, October 8.
