With the win, Monte Vista improves its record to 4-17 on the season. The Monarchs host Grossmont (El Cajon, CA) to encounter the Foothillers in a Grossmont Valley test on Monday, October 7. The Foothillers go into the test with a record of 11-10. Grossmont won 3-0 in their recent non-league test against High Tech CV (Chula Vista, CA)

The Lions now own a 11-14 record. They put it on the line next when they host River Valley for a non-league test on Tuesday, October 8. School for Entrepreneurship & Technology will encounter a Leopards squad coming off a 3-1 league loss to Bonsall (Bonsall, CA). The Leopards record now stands at 0-3.
