In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Murray County Central Rebels volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Worthington Trojans.
The Rebels (10-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Lakeview (Cottonwood, MN). The Lakers come into the non-league challenge with a 5-8 record. In their last challenge, Lakeview was nudged by Minneota (Minneota, MN), 3-0, in a league challenge.
Next, the Trojans meet the Russell-Tyler-Ruthton Knights (Tyler, MN) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, October 5. Worthington will attempt to upgrade on its 9-17 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 17-5 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Central Minnesota Christian (Prinsburg, MN).
