Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Waukon Indians (Waukon, IA) and the visiting Oelwein Huskies (Oelwein, IA), observed Waukon's volleyball team hold off Oelwein by a count of 2-1.

The Indians (16-9) will now prepare for their contest against New Hampton (New Hampton, IA). The Chickasaws enter the contest with a 12-12 record. In their last contest, New Hampton was tipped by Denver (Denver, IA), 2-0, in a league contest.

Next, the Huskies battle the Postville Pirates (Postville, IA) in a non-league contest, on Monday, October 7. Oelwein will attempt to move on its 12-13 season record. The Pirates enter the contest with a 2-15 record after their 3-1 league win over Kee (Lansing, IA).
