In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host St. Mary Eagles volleyball team scored a close 1-0 triumph over the Pentwater Falcons.

The Eagles (17-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Mason County Central (Scottville, MI). The Spartans come into the non-league challenge with a 6-9 record. In their last challenge, Mason County Central was nudged by North Muskegon (North Muskegon, MI), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Falcons meet the Buckley Bears (Buckley, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, October 5. Pentwater will attempt to upgrade on its 6-6 season record. The Bears come into the challenge with a 11-6 record after their 3-0 league loss to Frankfort (Frankfort, MI).
