In Thursday's league game, the Carlsbad Cavemen (Carlsbad, NM) football team tipped the host Organ Mountain Knights (Las Cruces, NM), by a final score of 33-26.
The Cavemen (4-3) will now prepare for their game against Centennial (Las Cruces, NM). The Hawks come into the 6A District 3/4 game with a 5-1 record. In their last game, Centennial got by Hobbs (Hobbs, NM), 27-20, in a league game.
The Knights now hold a 3-4 record. They take the field next when they host Las Cruces for a 6A District 3/4 game on Friday, October 14. Organ Mountain will battle a Bulldawgs team coming off a 13-10 league loss to Alamogordo (Alamogordo, NM). The Bulldawgs record now stands at 1-5.
