The Gaston Greyhounds (Gaston, OR) football edged the host Sheridan Spartans (Sheridan, OR), 2-0 in Thursday's league bout.
In their next game, the Greyhounds face the Sheridan/Sheridan Japanese Spartans (Sheridan, OR) in a non-league bout, on Friday, October 7. Gaston will attempt to advance on its 2-4 season record.
The Spartans (0-5) will now prepare for their bout against Nestucca (Cloverdale, OR). The Bobcats enter the 2A Special District 1 (9 Man) bout with a 4-2 record. In their last bout, Nestucca nudged Clatskanie (Clatskanie, OR), 20-8, in a league bout.
