The Asheboro Blue Comets (Asheboro, NC) football edged the visiting Central Davidson Spartans (Lexington, NC), 20-16 in Thursday's non-league bout.
In their next game, the Blue Comets face the North Davidson Black Knights (Lexington, NC) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, October 13. Asheboro will attempt to move on its 3-3 season record. The Black Knights enter the bout with a 1-5 record after their 28-0 non-league loss to Oak Grove (Winston-Salem, NC).
The Spartans (3-4) will now prepare for their bout against Montgomery Central (Troy, NC). The Timberwolves enter the non-league bout with a 6-1 record. In their last bout, Montgomery Central nudged Ledford (Thomasville, NC), 36-0, in a non-league bout.
