In Thursday's non-league game, the East Duplin Panthers (Beulaville, NC) football team smashed the host North Lenoir Hawks (LaGrange, NC), by a score of 44-8.
The Panthers (4-3) will now prepare for their game against South Lenoir (Deep Run, NC). The Blue Devils come into the non-league game with a 0-6 record. In their last game, South Lenoir was ripped by Southwest Onslow (Jacksonville, NC), 51-14, in a non-league game.
The Hawks now sport a 2-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to James Kenan for a non-league game on Thursday, October 13. North Lenoir will meet a Tigers team coming off a 28-14 league win over Kinston (Kinston, NC). The Tigers record now stands at 5-0.
