In Thursday's non-league game, the South Johnston Trojans (Four Oaks, NC) football team knocked off the visiting Southern Wayne Saints (Dudley, NC), by a score of 20-0.
The Trojans (6-1) will now prepare for their game against Hunt (Wilson, NC). The Warriors come into the non-league game with a 5-2 record. In their last game, Hunt toppled East Wake (Wendell, NC), 24-12, in a non-league game.
The Saints now sport a 2-6 record. They take the field next when they host Smithfield-Selma for a non-league game on Thursday, October 13. Southern Wayne will battle a Spartans team coming off a 48-12 non-league loss to West Johnston (Benson, NC). The Spartans record now stands at 0-7.
