Spectators at Thursday's non-league match between the Cyril Pirates (Cyril, OK) and the host Red Oak Eagles (Red Oak, OK), witnessed Cyril's softball squad tip Red Oak by a count of 8-1.

The Pirates now sport a 5-0 record. They play next when they travel to Ripley for a non-league match on Friday, October 7. Cyril will meet a Warriors squad coming off a 10-0 non-league win over Arapaho (Arapaho, OK). The Warriors record now stands at 2-0.

With the loss, Red Oak moves to 4-1 on the season.
