The Bagdad Sultans volleyball team (Bagdad, AZ), was edged 3-2 in Thursday's non-league challenge with the host North Valley Christian Academy Lions (Phoenix, AZ)

The Lions (6-18) will now prepare for their challenge against North Phoenix Preparatory Academy (Phoenix, AZ). The Gladiators come into the 1A - Central challenge with a 10-3 record. In their last challenge, North Phoenix Preparatory Academy nudged San Pasqual Valley (Winterhaven, CA), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Sultans encounter the Anthem Prep Eagles (Anthem, AZ) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, October 14. Bagdad will attempt to move on its 10-6 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 6-10 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Red Rock (Sedona, AZ).
