North Carolina High School Football - Albemarle felled by South Stanly

The Albemarle Bulldogs football team (Albemarle, NC), was knocked off 26-12 in Friday's league challenge with the host South Stanly Rowdy Rebel Bulls (Norwood, NC)

The Rowdy Rebel Bulls (4-3) will now prepare for their challenge against North Stanly (New London, NC). The Comets come into the 1A/2A Yadkin Valley challenge with a 5-2 record. In their last challenge, North Stanly knocked off Lake Norman Charter (Huntersville, NC), 57-20, in a non-league challenge.

The Bulldogs now sport a 2-5 record. They take the field next when they host Mount Pleasant for a 1A/2A Yadkin Valley challenge on Friday, October 13. Albemarle will meet a Tigers team coming off a 55-7 league win over Union Academy (Monroe, NC). The Tigers record now stands at 5-2.
