Michigan High School Football - Alpena drops to Sault Area

October 6, 2023: Alpena, MI 49707

In Friday's league game, the Sault Area Blue Devils (Sault St. Marie, MI) football team knocked off the host Alpena Wildcats (Alpena, MI), by a final score of 21-6.

The Blue Devils (5-2) will now prepare for their game against Petoskey (Petoskey, MI). The Northmen come into the Big North game with a 4-3 record. In their last game, Petoskey was dropped by Marquette (Marquette, MI), 21-20, in a league game.

The Wildcats now hold a 1-6 record. They take the field next when they host Escanaba for a non-league game on Friday, October 13. Alpena will battle a Eskymos team coming off a 38-8 league loss to Gaylord (Gaylord, MI). The Eskymos record now stands at 1-6.
