    The Alvin Yellowjackets football team (Alvin, TX), was ripped 73-0 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting Pearland Oilers (Pearland, TX)

    The Oilers (5-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Dawson (Pearland, TX). The Eagles come into the 6A Region III District 23 challenge with a 3-3 record. In their last challenge, Dawson trounced Strake Jesuit (Houston, TX), 45-17, in a league challenge.

    The Yellowjackets now sport a 2-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Shadow Creek for a 6A Region III District 23 challenge on Friday, October 13. Alvin will meet a Sharks team coming off a 24-0 league win over Alief Elsik (Houston, TX). The Sharks record now stands at 5-1.
