California High School Football - Rio Mesa beat Buena

The Rio Mesa Spartans football squad scored 34 points and restricted the visiting Buena Bulldogs to 13 in the Spartans league victory on Friday.

The Spartans now possess a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Oxnard for a Channel battle on Friday, October 13. Rio Mesa will play a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 34-15 league win over Dos Pueblos (Goleta, CA). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 2-5.

Coming up next, the Bulldogs play the Ventura Cougars (Ventura, CA) in a Channel battle, on Friday, October 13. Buena will attempt to advance on its 4-4 season record. The Cougars enter the battle with a 5-3 record after their 30-10 league win over San Marcos (Santa Barbara, CA).
