West Virginia High School Football - Capital nips Riverside

October 6, 2023: Belle, WV 25015

In Friday's league match, the visiting Capital Cougars football squad scored a close 27-23 victory over the Riverside Warriors.

In their next game, the Cougars clash with the Spring Valley Timberwolves (Huntington, WV) in a Mountain State match, on Friday, October 13. Capital will attempt to move on its 2-4 season record. The Timberwolves enter the match with a 2-4 record after their 63-0 league win over South Charleston (South Charleston, WV).

The Warriors (1-5) will now prepare for their match against South Charleston (South Charleston, WV). The Black Eagles enter the Mountain State match with a 0-6 record. In their last match, South Charleston was nudged by Spring Valley (Huntington, WV), 63-0, in a league match.
