The Marshall Academy Patriots football team (Holly Springs, MS), was beaten 41-30 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting Carroll Academy Rebels (Carrollton, MS)

The Rebels (3-5) will now prepare for their challenge against North Delta (Batesville, MS). The Green Wave come into the MAIS 3A District 1 challenge with a 5-3 record. In their last challenge, North Delta achieved victory over Columbus Christian Academy (Steens, MS), 60-0, in a league challenge.

The Patriots now sport a 3-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Winona Christian for a MAIS 3A District 1 challenge on Friday, October 13. Marshall Academy will meet a Stars team coming off a 42-14 non-league loss to Central Holmes Christian (Lexington, MS). The Stars record now stands at 5-4.
