The Carthage Comets football team (Carthage, NY), was beaten 28-13 in Friday's non-league challenge with the visiting Central Valley Academy Thunder (Ilion, NY)
The Thunder (3-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Vernon-Verona-Sherrill (Verona, NY). The Red Devils come into the non-league challenge with a 1-5 record. In their last challenge, Vernon-Verona-Sherrill was beaten by Oneida (Oneida, NY), 26-0, in a league challenge.
The Comets now sport a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to New Hartford for a Section 3 B - East challenge on Friday, October 13. Carthage will meet a Spartans team coming off a 41-14 league win over Camden (Camden, NY). The Spartans record now stands at 6-0.
