Ohio High School Football - Mayfield crushed by Chardon

In Friday's league game, the Chardon Hilltoppers (Chardon, OH) football team smashed the host Mayfield Wildcats (Mayfield, OH), by a score of 49-7.

The Hilltoppers (5-3) will now prepare for their game against North (Eastlake, OH). The Rangers come into the Western Reserve game with a 3-5 record. In their last game, North overwhelmed South (Willoughby, OH), 10-3, in a league game.

The Wildcats now sport a 3-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Riverside for a Western Reserve game on Friday, October 13. Mayfield will battle a Beavers team coming off a 36-35 league loss to Kenston (Chagrin Falls, OH). The Beavers record now stands at 7-1.
