    The Smithsburg Leopards football squad scored 22 points and limited the visiting Clear Spring Blazers to 0 in the Leopards league win on Friday.

    The Leopards now possess a 3-3 record. They play next when they host Catoctin for a non-league battle on Friday, October 13. Smithsburg will play a Cougars squad coming off a 37-0 league loss to Middletown (Middletown, MD). The Cougars record now stands at 2-4.

    Coming up next, the Blazers play the Riverdale Baptist Crusaders (Upper Marlboro, MD) in a non-league battle, on Friday, October 13. Clear Spring will attempt to advance on its 2-4 season record. The Crusaders go into the battle with a 3-3 record after their 15-14 non-league win over Landon (Bethesda, MD).
